So you want to know a bit about me? Well here goes. I'm 48 going on 12 and live near Swindon, Wiltshire with my lovely and extremely tolerant partner Karen, and where I get occasional glimpses of my globetrotting daughter Beth. I manage the implementation of computer software products in the UK and Europe so tend to travel quite a lot. The only previous fund raising I have done was getting my head shaved for Cancer Research 11 years ago. Before committing myself to this ride, the furthest I had been on a bike was about 20 miles in a day, about 33 years ago! Mark A suggested the ride and it only took a couple of bottles of wine for me to agree to do it. My biggest challenge now is getting in all the necessary training with an increasingly full work diary, but I will make it.
